Today was just one of those days. Nothing went right.

The Past:

At the end of last year I scheduled a dental appointment for a cleaning.

When I arrived and since I had not been to the dentist for a few years I had to go through getting x-rays. Basically I did not get a cleaning because of the need to evaluate me, (xray time took up the cleaning time). No cavities :)

So they scheduled me for a deep cleaning and another appointment for a crown (not the whiskey kind).

So in January the dentist's office calls and says the dentist does not work on Mondays (Umm that's the day they scheduled me for) do I wanna reschedule? No. Thus no crown.

Feburary rolls around and the cleaning appointment comes up. I cancel three weeks prior to the appointment. Do you wanna reschedule? No

Sometime in the nearer past:

I call, they put me on hold. 25 minutes later I hang up.

Yesterday:

I call, they put me on hold and hangs up.

My wife talks me into changing to her dentist. Ok.

The new dentist's office tells me to get a copy of my x-rays from my dentist and bring them to them. I call my dentist, of course they have no record of me. Oh finally they find me, filed me in under Moffman instead of Mossman. Now I may not always talk clearly, but I do know how to pronounce my own name, ok.

Oh yes sir we have your x-rays.

Can I come get them?

Certainly.

I'll be there in 30.

OK, they'll be ready.

As I'm trying to hang up the phone my wife, well a wife does what a wife does, she says something to me I'd prefered the dentist office not to have heard. I'm angry and she says oh they couldn't hear me.

Less than 2 minutes later:

The dentist office calls me back and tells me they are so sorry but they can't give me the x-rays, that it takes 5-7 days to get them normall,y but they'll have them ready tomorrow for me.

Today, day after yesterday:

Thinking I am going to have a problem because I know they heard my wife discuss the situtation in her terms as I was hanging up with them yesterday, the day before today, I called them.

We can't find your files?

You filed them under Moffman.

Oh hang on.

You can't have them they are not current.

Those xrays were taken in Nov, 2010. I am mad.

The new dentist office offered to contact my insurance company. It seems there is no problem, they have no record of my prior dentist office charging for xrays.

I have the copy of the receipt/bill. I have no idea whose insurance they charged for my xrays, but it wasn't mine.

Tomorrow:

The new dentist office will take new xrays tomorrow. No charge, my insurance company will pay for it.

I still think all this was caused by my curteous wife Miff Moffman but I'll never know.
