I promise this will be the last blog about W.V. for a few. But if you would like to get away from it all to a Lodge high up on a mountain with a view to die for, consider Hawk's Nest Resort in W.V.. Not only will you have views like this, but you will be in one of the most beautiful areas in W.V. It is part of the famous Midland Trail. There's pleanty of hiking, scenery in the hub around this resort. Next to the Hawk's Nest Resort in Ansted, W.V. is the famous New River Gorge bridge where once a year parachutists jump from this bridge. For the sport minded, white water rafting is nearby where you ride the rapids of the New River either opting for a half day, full day or an overnight excursion (meals provided) through the mountains of the Wild and Wonderful, Almost Heaven, West by God Virginia (W.V.).
