I had too much time on my hands awhile back. No I don't normally spend my time in a cemetery but there is one cemetery in Jacksonville Fl that is very unique. I know it's a long way from wedding photography but isn't one of the vows during a wedding ceremony, "til death do us part?" Photographing in a cemetery has always been sort of a passion with me. Not that I do it much but I'm always looking when driving by one if it would be photographic. The Old City Cemetery, in Jacksonville Fl is such a cemetery. The Florida Times-Union did an article about it on 11-09-2009.
Anyway, this particular cemetery can get quite spooky, especially when there is fog in the air. I've seen it and I know how erie of a feeling one can get on a full moonlight night with fog in the air. It can make for an awesome photograph.
For you techies out there, I photographed this headstone next to a tree and basically made two sections by flipping an image keeping one side black and white and appling a color tint on the other. It's another of my off the chain shots, I did it a few years back but it's sorta ageless.
